Yes, once again . . . my favorite bluegrass-reggae band the City Billies are playing a show here in jolly old New York.

Headlining the show is the folk-funk lovelies Caitlin Krisko and the Broadcast. Led by platinum princess Caitlin’s Janis Joplinesque voice and backed by a stellar rhythm section (special props to theatrical djembe master Tyler Householder), I guarantee you will be dancing from the first song of the set. More than a concert, it’s going to be a big ol’ party! The venue is a theater at Union Square, and the timing is right after you finish work on Friday and are wondering how to start your springtime weekend. Start it here, around 10pm.

See you on Weds night in the West Village - my fave Brooklyn band City Billies is playing at Sullivan Hall. Roots Rock Reggae to get you through the rest of the work week. Be prepared to be very impressed by this band of string-plucking, dubbed-out urban minstrels.

Sasha’mani Francois leads the band with powerful vocals and an enviable collection [...]

Check out the modern-day rockstar boys in they custom SvG wear!! Listen to each of these artists; I don’t endorse my friends unless they actually have talent. And these dudes have plennnnnty.
